I can't seem to get my roku soundbar to respond to my remote. It will not pair, I can't get the remote to respond to the soundbar at all. The TV recognizes it, just can't get any sound, nor control anything on the TV. If I hook it up to a roku tv tge sound works but remote doesn't. I'm trying to use it with an order smart Samsung TV.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, I haven't found anything that seems to work.

Hello,
I have a simple remote. The soundbar is connected to my Samsung TV with an HDMI for video & an optical cable for sound.
I have changed the batteries on the remote.
The soundbar keeps flashing like it is trying to pair, they just won't do so.

You mentioned that you only have a simple remote, but we would like to clarify that. Could you provide a picture of it, please, so we can take a closer look?
Please note that simple remotes are not meant to pair since they only use IR (Infrared) signals.
