I only want a 3.1 system as don’t care about 5.1

Recently purchased Roku Plus Series TV which I love. Although I know from research I cannot have a 3.1 system with the wireless sound bar I was told it’s possible with the stream bar pro. I would set it up with the stream bar pro as center, wireless speakers as left and right and of course the subwoofer. My research says yes it’s doable but I wanted to hear it from you guys before I spend the money.
