I determined that my problem was my internet service provider, Spectrum. It is a technical issue, but it appears that they have not got their encryption working normally. I'm guessing they didn't pay their encryption certificate providers and it expired.
What that means is that the roku can't send the user and password in a guaranteed secure fashion and my router complained and blocked it.
I was able to change my router's "Threat Prevention" to go ahead and allow the somewhat unsafe activity.
I also had to do a factory reset on one of my 3 Rokus that seemed to be really messed up. So now all 3 Rokus are working fine for me.This may or may not be what your particular problem is.
