Unable to remove channels

Unable to complete loading channel information on certain channels - ex: Directv, wondrium, several others. Thus unable to remove these channels. Please advise.

    Hello cnherrick

Thanks for posting here in the Community.

We would recommend removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote, and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more. To help troubleshoot the issue further, follow this link: How to resolve a channel playback issue

    We hope it helps!

    Regards,
    Karla

The screen hangs when I press the * key. Thus it can not be removed. It hangs and spins and I have to cancel out.

With several channels the * key hangs. With others it comes right back with the options. What is the difference?

  • HIGHLIGHT CHANNEL. PRESS * . MENU DOES NOT LIST REMOVE CHANNEL. REMOVE CHANNEL IS NOT AN OPTION IN THE MENU.

ONLY WANTING TO REMOVE, THEN RE-ADD IN ORDER TO SAVE LOGIN DATA. CANNOT OPEN WONDRIUM APP WITHOUT LOGGING IN EVERY TIME IT IS OPENED.

      Hi qberries5156,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku community!

We completely understand that you can't highlight the channel press. However, you can remove the channel by visiting the Roku Channel Store.

      1. Press Home  on your Roku remote
      2. Select Streaming Channels to open the Channel Store
      3. Locate the channel you wish to remove and press OK  on your remote
        • Tip: A check mark identifies an installed channel in the bottom right-hand corner.
      4. Select Remove channel and confirm the selection when prompted

      Please keep us posted!

      Thanks,

      Anjelie
