U Stream app not loading

U stream App not loading.  The U stream App or UKTV app as it was known had been working fine on my Roku Express box since I first downloaded the app almost a year ago.  Some time around October this year the app would not load and the Roku box would display a black screen and not respond to the remote, after about 30 seconds the box would reset to the Home screen.  I have tried all of the methods listed on various sites to remedy the issue but the problem still exists. All other apps I have downloaded work fine. You can delete the app and restart the Roku box, reload the app, check for app updates, all looks ok, but the app will not load and crashes the Roku box.

Grateful for any help getting this app back working.

*** As an aside, this problem seemed to co- inside with the appearance of the Roku channel App on the Home menu which I did not load. Not sure if that is relevant or not, but each time I tried to remove it, the app would appear back on the Home menu for about a week.
