Spotify not working on Roku Express

Spotify channel is not opening on my Roku Express. If I click on it, it comes up with Spotify logo, after a couple of seconds the logo gets bigger, nothing happens, then after about half a minute, a long error code comes up. Tried googling the error code to no avail, and it's different every time.
Things I have tried:

- spotify works on my laptop and mobile - roku is on the same network

- tried connecting to it via my laptop and mobile all on the same network - nothing

- checked software updates on both spotify and roku

- cold reboot of tv/roku

- uninstalled, cold reboot, reinstalled channel - still the same - logo then error code.

- other apps working fine (I have not tried them all, but all the regular ITVX, BBC iplayer, Youtube, Sky News etc etc all working, and I don't have any Apple apps as another poster is reporting Apple apps not working).

- not sure when it might have stopped working, don't think I've tried to listen on roku since Xmas. (This is the second day in a row I have had the problem).

    Warm greetings from the Roku Community!
    After attempting the troubleshooting steps and videos from other channels play fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the issue and get help. Channels on Roku are maintained by the channel developers themselves. In this case, there's likely an issue within that specific channel that needs to be addressed with an update from them.
