I don’t know who to talk to about this but please, I’m begging, get rid of the Big Al Law Offices commercials!! They are beyond annoying, obnoxious and loud. Any idiot can tell those people are not “real clients”. This guy is a scumbag and the commercials are unbearable. I love Coach, Magnum, and Simon & Simon but I will stop watching Roku if that commercial doesn’t disappear! The shouting, the BS - please!!
Roku does not have much control over the ads and ad content. They hire a marketing company who does the advertising and once it is approved it runs for a period of time.

In this case, they have complete control. It's a Roku ad for Roku TVs. They have to own this one.

In most cases, they paid a marketing company to create an ad for a certain period of time. Most times, unless it is controversial those ads will run for that period of time. Even though you and others don't like the ad, people talk about the ad, which is the point of an advertisement. In any case, no one in this forum, Roku or otherwise have any control over the marketing division and the decisions they make.

Brilliantly stated - thank you! :)
(Unfortunately there’s no way to delete duplicate posts especially when they were put in the wrong place. My response was to Becky not the “Roku Guru”. She’s the brilliant one.)

JWS9518 That’s too bad. I usually watch Roku about now and couldn’t face that travesty so I decided to watch Psych on Peacock instead. Maybe they don’t have control but I’m quite sure they also couldn’t care less.

And that is the choice that you and everyone as a consumer makes daily, about ads, shows, movies, foods, etc. If it is not working for the company, they would pull it, eventually. If they feel the ad works, then you will see it for a while.

JWS9518 And the point of having a Community Forum, is so they will have some idea as to whether certain features or commercials "work for them", so telling people there's no point in posting their comments isn't helpful. If I ran Roku, or any large company, I would rather hear feedback from my customers, and not only wait until I see the number of customers going down, before making changes.
I have a band, and I would much prefer getting feedback from those in the audience, about any issues they may have, than wait until venues stop booking us!
