On the left side of my TV a long purple bar comes up with the features of the Roku tv. When I’m watching movies they pop up as well and then go away is there anyway I can get rid of this problem.
Go through the various settings and look for something called "Store" or "Demo" mode and disable it. I'm not sure, but it's possible that you have to factory reset it to get out of that mode.
I agree with renojim that this sounds like the Roku TV's demonstration mode, as would be used in the showroom of a store selling TVs. This is an option selected when setting up the TV.
On my TLC TV there is no menu option to exit demo mode, although some folks have mentioned finding on on theirs.
Without a menu option, to get out of store mode you must do a factory reset (Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset) and set up again from scratch. When asked, select home use instead of store/demo.
