It might help to know the model number written on the device somewhere. Assuming it's one that gets its power through a USB cable, have you tried a different USB power adapter/charger from a phone or tablet that can supply at least 1 Amp (1000mA). Look at the fine print on the power adapter for something like, Output: 5V 1A. More than 1A/1000mA is all right as well.
