Unfortunately no. This did not work for me. It will allow me to connect and pair the Roku remote, then nothing. No video. So frustrating. I was very much hoping to ditch overpriced cable tv.

Just to ensure it's not a problem with the Roku, can you connect it to a different TV and make sure it's working correctly? Again, I don't have any projector I can test with, but I do know that many people have successfully used Roku players with projectors. I realize you tested it directly on the projector. And that does seem to point to an issue with the issue passing through the AVR. Simply want to ensure the Roku is performing as it should.

When I connect it to a regular television, it works fine.

I was able to connect and got the display after connecting to HDMI port 4&5 of Yamaha receiver. Also, changed display setting to 4K
Roku I think is not HDCP2.2 compatible. SO, yamaha receiver’s HDMI port 1.2,3 requires HDCP 2.2 but not port 4&5

According to Roku documentation, all 4K players are HDCP 2.2.1 compatible. All 1080 players are 1.4. I know my Ultra 4800 is connected to an HDCP 2.2 port. So that's not it. But since you have it working now, I wouldn't worry much more about it. 🙂
