tk2025, you'll find that app and that error mentioned many, many times here. There's really nothing to research. Silicon Dust will tell you that Roku devices don't handle anything less than a perfect video stream. If there's any glitch at all, you'll see that error. All you can do is try a better antenna.
The signal on the hdhomerun is 100%. The channel doesn't have any issues when running on the xbox one, or stream to a TV via hdhomerun dms. Also via a kodi.tv addon it works. The error that just has roku player error: malformed data is not a good error.

Just update, I just got an google tv stream hd device, and the hdhomerun app works with out any issues, so roku needs to fix this video issue with hdhomerun , add logging so the developer can do something you both point at the each pther instead of working with the developer to fix the issue.

tk2025 Roku has no control over the HDHR app for their devices. Silicon Dust is the developer of the app. While they might be pointing a finger at something within the Roku OS, they need to provide that feedback to Roku. Only the app developer can resolve issues within the app. Even if it's an OS issue, they need to be transparent with their users about what the issue is, and not simply say "Roku has to fix it".
