RiverTV app availability on Roku

I have a RiverTV acct and I can watch CBC and watch the hockey games on my laptop and on my phone. However, through Roku and selecting RiverTV app the channel comes up as blocked "This channel is streaming". I am just curious on why Roku would have this blocked. It's obviously a Sports channel licensing thing, but shouldn't the block be through RiverTV, as Roku is just a conduit.
