Re: Plex no longer working on Roku devices

When I go into Plex, Live, my favorites is missing information?  Other channels are correct, but not all?  Additionally, and more importantly ... the App icon disappeared from my chosen apps.  When I try to install the app ... it doesn't let me, but also asks me to I want to open it?  If it's open, than it should appear in my chosen apps???   Yes, I checked all the way down, and it's not there!

Is there a "known issue" with PLEX?

** Also, still have the back button issue.  Have to hit back, double the normal clicks, and harder.  My thumb is sore!

    X8​ , I noticed the favorites issue today.  I was going to try the old remove the app, restart the Roku, add the app again, but I haven't so far.  Issues like that have nothing to do with Roku and Roku can't help you.  You need to try the Plex forum - https://forums.plex.tv/

    The issue with apps not appearing on the Home Screen is a longstanding bug that Roku either can't fix or isn't interesting in fixing.  One solution that usually works is to remove the app using the mobile app and then add it again from the device (not the Roku website).  Make sure you perform the System restart before adding it again if you want to be sure that any information the app has stored is removed - simply removing an app doesn't remove its saved data until the Roku device is restarted.

    As for the remote issue, all I can say is join the club.  These remotes seem overly prone to buttons wearing out.

    It looks like you have an issue with the Plex app, and thanks for trying to troubleshoot it. 

    Could you share when the issue started? Also, to get this check, please provide the following details:

    • Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (It can be found in Settings > System > About)
    • Tracker ID (Press Home five times, then press Back button five times when the issue occurs)
    • App build version (Highlight the app from the Home Screen and press the Star * Button)

    • Also, a photo showing the issue is a great help.
