No sound when switching to a different app

My Roku tv has been having this probably pretty consistently for over a month now. There is sound when navigating the Home Screen and clicking between different menus, but I have noticed that I will click into certain apps and there will be no sound at all for whatever show or movie is playing. I mostly notice this when switching between inputs (going from the wnba app to Spotify or PlayStation hdmi 2 to the Roku channel). There will be sound typically on whatever app I start on but after navigating to something else the sound is not there. 

Turning the system on and off normally using the remote does not fix it. It only seems to fix itself if I do the system restart through the settings menu. 

I am sick of this and won’t a permanent fix to this issue and it can crop up multiple times a day.
