I had a call in to newsmax. They did call me back and I was told that they will have their Roku version tomorrow (November 2nd)... Hahahaha!
Just like everyone else in the industry, nobody gives a Hoot!, until many people start complaining, then and only then will they put some sort of effort to fix it.
So newsmax had plenty of time to take care of all the issues they may run into, but I believe they treat roku and even fire stick is at the bottom of their priorities.
Newsmax has been planning this change for a long time.
Am still waiting for Newsmax+ to appear on Roku menu!!
What is the point of paying if you cannot watch it on your TV. This is a NewsMax problem and they should have had this fixed from the beginning. I am sure this change was in the works for a long time.
This is outdated information. Newsmax updated their app this morning and it now works on Roku devices for the new paid service.
I love Newsmax, but this is bs. I subscribed with my Roku acct but still can't watch. It tells me to log in with my Roku acct but when I do it says that my login info is wrong. Never had to do that with any other subscription.
This thread needs to be closed. There is no longer any need for a "work around" because Newsmax has updated their Roku app/channel to work with their new paid service. Any further/new issues should be entered in a new thread that is specific to the problem.
I did system software update on my Roku andit updated the newsmax app. Now newsmaxplus. Go to settings and then to software update
