This was happening Sunday night. I have a second Roku tv upstairs and it was having the same issue. It looked like they weren't able to load content properly. I gave up after a while.
I'm away from home for the holidays, so I won't be able to try the alternate wifi option until next week. My main tv is in the same room as my wifi router and the connection said it was Excellent.
I'm kind of hoping this was a one-off issue and it will be resolved by then. I'll report back next week.
