Missing tv series episodes

So I'm thrilled that a favorite tv show of mine Zorro a.k.a. New Adventures of Zorro 1990-1992 is on roku however aside from episodes being in mixed up order I'm disappointed that key episodes are missing and/or not viewable. Why is this? How can I view/find them?

  • Maybe Roku should insist they get all episodes.  If Roku cannot have access to all episodes then they should not purcase the rights to stream any of the series.

I’m guessing that the people who will watch whatever happens to be shown (especially on a commercial paid service) greatly outnumber the people who demand to see a complete pristine series in order.  I would guess by at least 20 to 1 if we’re talking about sitcoms or 30-year-old shows.  Many of the latter group probably bought the DVDs/Blu Rays as soon as they came out and don’t need to stream or put up with commercials anyway.

So, I think that insistence would not be good for Roku’s income.  Of course, Roku's programmers have more information about that than you or I do.

  • Most often, it could be rights issues. Music, guest star, writer, etc...

Possibly, yet most of the missing episodes are of a 2 or 4 part episode. Funny thing the missing are on Amazon prime but what you get are the movies or 1957, 2007 versions lol mixed up descriptions

  • All true.  And now the entire series has been taken off the Roku Channel - we were not done watching.  That is a disadvantage of streaming media.  I wish they would bring it back - I can't find the series anywhere on any channel.

And buying the whole Zorro 1990 set costs over $200!
