Maybe Roku should insist they get all episodes. If Roku cannot have access to all episodes then they should not purcase the rights to stream any of the series.

I’m guessing that the people who will watch whatever happens to be shown (especially on a commercial paid service) greatly outnumber the people who demand to see a complete pristine series in order. I would guess by at least 20 to 1 if we’re talking about sitcoms or 30-year-old shows. Many of the latter group probably bought the DVDs/Blu Rays as soon as they came out and don’t need to stream or put up with commercials anyway.
So, I think that insistence would not be good for Roku’s income. Of course, Roku's programmers have more information about that than you or I do.
