Live tv pause not working

With a usb drive inserted for live tv pause ota will stop and channel info will pop up, sometimes it happens every 5-10 seconds, sometimes it will be every 30- 60 minutes, there doesn't seem to be an...

Same here. My TCL Roku Smart TV blacks out with info showing every 6 minutes, annoying! Been on the phone for hours with Roku, TCL, and Target. They all claim I'm the only one having the problem.

I'm wondering if you could help me.  I have a Roku Streaming Stick 4K connected to my Samsung tv.  I followed the instructions on how to add a flash drive so I can pause live tv, but when I install a flash drive into a USB port on my tv, Roku doesn't format the flash drive.  Technology is going too fast and it's hard to keep up.  Am I not doing it right?  I'm disabled because of a TBI that put me in a coma for 16 days.  I follow the instructions, but nothing happens and maybe you could tell me what I am doing wrong.  I appreciate your help

    rpastor7, you can only use a flash drive on a Roku TV to pause antenna TV channels.  It doesn't work with other Roku devices and you can't pause "live" streaming channels.  I don't know if Samsung has something similar for their TVs.
