Hulu is no longer HDR since 5/1 Roku system update

Hulu has stopped playing Dolby Vision. All the other apps still do. I’ve already spoken to you twice and I have done all the basic “troubleshooting”. It’s not the buffering, it’s not a delete and reinstall Hulu solution, it’s not a Roku restart solution, it’s not a new software update for Roku or Hulu since none are available. Hulu is playing Dolby Vision and HDR shows at SDR.

The only thing I can think of to suggest:

After removing the channel, but BEFORE reinstalling it, did you RESTART** your Roku to clear its memory cache?  Without the restart you may not get a clean reinstall.  This is not a cure-all but at least it will assure you of having an uncorrupted copy of the current channel app.

Depending on your Roku model number you'll find the "System restart" option under either "Settings > System > Power" or under "Settings > System".   If you don't have sufficient control to use the menus, or if it is just more convenient, you can also restart by pulling the power plug for a short while, then plugging it back in.

**On a Roku TV with "Fast TV Start" enabled, turning the TV off/on only puts you in/out of a low power standby state, it does NOT give you a complete restart.  Use the methods above.

Tried it both ways, neither worked.

This is a server-side provisioning issue/error that impacts HDR (HDR10/HDR10+/DV) playback on ALL HDR-provisioned Hulu client app platforms/devices (RokuOS, FireTV OS, Android/Google TV OS, WebOS, Tizen OS, etc).

You need to contact Hulu CS and inform them of the missing HDR playback.

Otherwise if you have a Disney combo (@ least Disney+ & Hulu) you can watch any/all Hulu content (including HDR) via the D+ app on all platforms.

It’s not a Roku TV — it’s the Roku Ultra 2024.  I did the cycle to remove the cookies but I will try your method in a moment.
