HBO Max app conflict with Roku?

Within the past 2 weeks, I am no longer able to access HBO Max thru Roku. I receive errors stating that I have updated my account too many times and thus unable to log in. HBO Max states there is no known issue on their end.

My non Roku TVs do not experience this problem. They connect to HBO Max seamlessly. Naturally I am now wondering if there has been some sort of Roku update that is causing this to take place? Are any other subscribers experiencing this issue as well?

  • 93khj​  It sounds like something within your Max account and not anything to do with an OS update.  Try rebooting your Roku and then make sure you are logging into the correct Max app with the same information that you created the Max account with.   I believe Max also limits how many devices can stream at the same time, so it is possible that is an issue to.  I would also suggest reaching out to HBO customer support directly.
