Chiming in here to share that I am also still having this issue. Tried the Roku recommendations, did not work. Gave Gotham's customer service line a call to let them know. Got to a human pretty easily, said they'll try and escalate the issue further since it's still a known issue.

We would advise to continue working with them since channel providers can directly resolve any issues with their app on the Roku platform by providing a workaround or developing an update with their app.

The app loads but when I try to play content I get a cryptic error message. I called support. Did the uninstall/power off/reinstall spin cycle same thing. "We're working on it". Seems like, from this thread, I shouldn't hope to be able to use my Roku anytime soon, which sucks because it's the only reason I bought it and it worked fine with the MSG+ app. - Kbwh111 months agoChannel SurferSame. I bought the Roku just for MSG plus and it worked fine on it until they forced us to Gotham sports app. 
 
- Ando111 months agoChannel SurferHow are you connected to the internet? I had this issue using wired at 90mbps. I went to wireless at 300mbps and then it played back. It now lags, but at least plays. Contact support, they will ask you to go through all the obvious resets, restarts, etc. Won't help. Tell them to want your issue reported and you want the case number. With enough reports, hopefully they will fix this and put out an update soon. - mawillia11 months agoReel RookieI'm on gigabit ethernet from Verizon FIOS (cat 5e cable back to the router). Should have zero bandwidth issues. I never got a case number even though I asked for one. I will call back probably tomorrow during the day and do it again.
