Fox News stream not working overnight

What's going with Fox News.  I work at night and like to keep up with the news.  Starting a week ago, I have to restart Fox News 3 times or more overnight.  Why can't the stream last at least overnight?

Well last night the program ran all night without shutting down once!  Whatever you guys did seemed to have worked.

    Hi, MasonNeck

Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community.

We understand your concern regarding the Fox News streaming that doesn't last overnight, and we acknowledge your efforts in troubleshooting the issue every time you try to access the app. For this matter, we would advise you to reach out to Fox News' support directly and inquire further about the problem at hand. Their support can provide you with a workaround or develop an update to resolve a specific issue with their app since channel providers on Roku directly manage and maintain their apps on the Roku platform.

For more information, you can reach them at Contact Fox News Channel

We hope this will be sorted out soon.

    Best wishes,
    Kash

This is what you guys said last month when the app wasn't working at all.  Eventually so many people complained that you reached out directly to work with them to fix the problem.

Do you plan to wait until the complaints increase before you guys reach out to Fox News to fix the problem?

Thanks for keeping us posted, MasonNeck

We'd like to gather more information so our team can further look into this issue. Can you please provide the details below:

        • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
        • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
        • Channel build version (This can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button).

The information we gather will be used to review this matter for investigation.

Your response would be much appreciated.

        Best wishes,
        Kash

  • Same thing with my BS Roku tv. Fox won’t load. Just when I think I’m about to catch up on the news it goes back to Home Screen. Tried everything under the sun to get this app to work. Told my neighbor about it (computer programmer for 20yrs) and he laughed like I didn’t know what I was doing until he seen it with his own 2 eyes. First thing out of his mouth is that Roku is suppressing news feeds for the election. Crazy thing is I was thinking the same thing. These companies have no remorse and don’t care about us. All about that mighty dollar. Evil and scary at the same time. If this wasn’t the case, it would have been fixed months ago. I don’t watch fake news!!! My head is NOT in the sand. Get your act together Roku or lose business!! Fox announced nothing wrong with app. People have the right to this information!

There have been various posts. Please stop the conspiratorial thinking. This is a problem with how Fox News has written their app, and it has issues talking to their servers. Roku is not interfering in anything. It is incompetent Fox News programmers.

Please focus on getting the problem fixed rather than lectures about "conspiratorial thinking".

This issue seems to be a recurring one.
