Closed Captions won’t turn off

Turning off closed captions- we have followed the directions by going to settings>accessibility>caption mode>off…it did not work.  I also tried the voice command “turn closed captions off”.  The answer was “closed captions are not turned on”.  What else can I try??

    Try doing a system restart in the settings. Is this doing it in particular apps?  You should also check those apps settings within the app to see if they are on in the channel you are watching.  Usually you go into the channel/app you are watching and go to their menu or hit the star to access the options.
