For me, the Roku Ultra device setting, which is "on always" for captions, does not not stay "on always." The channel, streaming service, or other programming device is irrelevant. The Roku Ultra "on always" for captions fails to stay "on always." Does that answer your question?
Hello RCBurl
Thanks for reaching out to the Roku community!
Please note that most channels and apps contain their own settings and will override the settings in Roku menus. Check inside each channel's individual settings and disable/enable captions in each. Some channels have their own captions settings that are separate from the system settings. Some channel manages their own content programming, including closed captions and subtitles on content. Reach out to the channel If changing the captions on the Roku settings does not resolve the issue.

You are not explaining why it is that the Roku Ultra settings are turned off when "on always" is selected in Roku.
For example, I turn on captions for Paramount Plus streaming, but it doesn't work because the Roku settings have disabled the "on always" setting that I have selected previously for captions.
If it isn't "on always," then Roku should change the Roku setting to "on until something turns it off." I'm being facetious and sarcastic because your responses are fairly useless in this instance.
I have to repeatedly turn on the "on always" setting in Roku ultra every time. And Paramount plus is just an example, it happens with other apps. So what is turning off the Roku settings for captions? I have captions turned on for every service.
