Apps sometimes won't open

I just installed the Roku 4K Stick on my Sony TV.  I started adding apps and signing in.  All of a sudden, when I clicked on any app, nothing happened.  I looked at the support page, re-signed to my network, and checked the connection, and everything was fine. I clicked on some. more apps, and everything was opening and doing fine, but then, all of a sudden, I couldn't open any of the apps.  I checked my network connection, and it said everything was fine, but I still couldn't get the apps to open.  I turned off the TV and will try again later.  What is going on?

    Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about being unable to open apps on your Roku Streaming Stick. We'd like to know more about this and find you the best resolution possible.

    Before we proceed further, it would be appreciated if you could provide us with additional information such as follows:

    • Are there any error messages prompted when attempting to access these apps? Or will it kick you back to the Home screen?
    • Are Live TV channels or on-demand shows affected by this?
    • What is your device's current software version and serial number? It's under Settings > System > About

    In the meantime, we suggest the following steps to help you troubleshoot:

    1. Try to connect your affected Roku device to an alternative network connection to see if this makes any difference. Perhaps a mobile hotspot would do.
    2. Reboot your Roku device under Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart.
