Apps disappear and deleted apps reappear

Every time I turn my tv on my Discovery+ and Netflix app disappear and I have to add them as well as log back into them.
Others apps that I don’t watch - such as Fox News, Apply TV and Disney keeping adding themselves to my main menu even though I have removed them.

please advise

  • Apps are tied to your Roku account, not an individual Roku device.  If you add/remove an app from one device it will be added/removed from all devices linked to the same Roku account.  So... do you have multiple Roku devices?  Have you ever?  Is the email address that's displayed under Settings->System->About yours or is it something you don't recognize?

Thanks for replying… yes the email address in about in mine and yes I use Roku on 2 tvs in two very different locations. As of last week I started using the Roku app in my phone and added the missing apps - but alas the two apps disappear again )o=

So I assume there's no one at the other location adding or removing apps.  One more thing to check is the devices linked to your account.  Go to https://my.roku.com and scroll down to "My devices".  Are there any other than the two TVs?  If you ever had a device in the past and sold it, returned it, or gave it away, it may still be linked to your account.

This cannot be true.  I have 2 Roku devices.  One in my living room & one in my bedroom. The bedroom device has Xfinity on my home screen in the list of apps downloaded.  And,  in the living room, every time I want to access  Xfinity mobile I have to search for it.  It cannot be added or deleted.  It's annoying!

Darhaas, we've seen many reports about different apps not appearing on the Home Screen, but if searched for, they can be opened.  Try using the Search feature within the mobile app to search for "Xfinity" and when it shows it in the suggestions, there should be an option to remove it.  Then add it again using the Search on your Roku device itself.
