Anime Crunch zero playback

None of the thousand videos work. Just black screens. Contacted  but no response. Worked great for 10 days.

  • Thanks for clarifying!

As checked, we found that this issue is related to the app itself. Since it’s a third-party app on Roku, we recommend reaching out to the app provider directly for more help with troubleshooting.

We hope you'll be up and running soon!

Thanks for keeping us updated! alex2020

To know more about this Anime Crunch playback issue, could you share some details below:

      • Are you observing this behavior across all apps or only in Anime Crunch?
      • Any recent software update before this happened?
      • A video/photos can be helpful!

      I'll wait for your response!

Just AC. No. Its clearly the app itself. If anyone knows if Synthora went out of business or knows where to reach them please let me know.

  • I'm having the same issue. It's been like this for 8 days now. Click on a video and it starts to load, but then the screen goes black and the show doesn't play or I get an error message. This has happened before about a month ago, then one day it was fixed. No amount of restarting or looking for updates work. It's definitely an app problem. No issues with any other apps.

It worked for me yesterday. Today, back to being dead. They also dont respond to emails. Best anime app of all time, ruined by incompetent tech and support.

    Hey there, alex2020!

Thanks for posting about the issue you have encountered with this app, and we'd like to help!

Here's a quick fix you can try:

    1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
    2. Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
    3. Reinstall the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.

Let us know if that works!

No option to remove channel. I can move it around or manage sub but that's it.

    Hey alex2020 and screenxshot!

Thanks for reaching out about the issue you have with this app on Roku, but we'd like to clarify some things.

Are you referring to the Crunchy Roll on the Roku Channel or a different app? Can you please take a quick picture of the app icon so we can double-check?

    Please keep us posted!

We are referring to the “Anime Crunch” app—not Crunchyroll. I’m currently stuck on the loading screen, and the app won’t move forward to the streaming section. Sometimes I get an error message saying, “Not working at this time.” I already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, but nothing worked. The app was working fine last night, but now—this morning—it just won’t load. I recently paid for a one-year subscription, so it’s really disappointing not being able to use the service because of this issue.

I pay monthly. This is my second month. For me, it worked great the first week, then it stopped working (same issue as now) for 2 weeks. Worked fine for a couple weeks again and now it's been down again for 10 days for me. Very disappointing indeed.

I have tried reaching out to the company the last time this happened and my email got returned to me saying their email address no longer exists.
