Add optimum channel app to Home Screen

Add the optimum app so Roku user that have optimum can stream. It’s ridiculous you don’t support the app

    For the most part, Roku doesn't create the apps.  Optimum would have to create an app and submit it for publishing.

      There is a workaround if you have an Android phone or tablet.

      You can enable screen casting or mirroring on the Roku device from your Android phone. Then you bring up the Optimum app on your Android phone and enable screen mirroring to the Roku. On Samsung phones, screen mirroring is called "SmartView".

      Then go back to the Optimum app and select your channel and hit play on the phone.  The video should play on the Roku. Then turn your phone to landscape mode, and you should see full screen on the Roku.

      This does tie up your phone to watch Optimum,  but it offers a workaround and saves the monthly cost of a set top box.

        For Apple users, Roku supports Apple AirPlay. The Roku appears as an AirPlay device and can be streamed to.  On your iPad or IPhone, launch the Optimum app, select your content to display, and then in the upper right corner, you will see the AirPlay icon (second from the right).  Click on the AirPlay icon, and then select the Roku device, which should have been auto-discovered.  If this is the first time for the connection, the Roku will display a security code on the TV which you enter on the Apple device to authenticate.  In a few seconds, the connection will be made, and you will be streaming from the Optimum app on the IPad/iPhone to the Roku connected to your TV.

        I’ve tested this with an older iPad and it works well (and does not tie up my phone)
