I gave up on Roku, got the Google Onn from Walmart for $20, works great with Tablo. Finally catching up on all my recordings now. Done with Roku and won't be a customer again.

Not sure we are getting honest answers from Roku. Would be nice if they were straight up with us. Had to move on to a Firestick.

For everyone in this thread, THIS is the important information you should read, directly from Tablo themselves. It seems Roku isn't going to be helping anyone here.

With three 4-tuner DVRs (Tablo, AirTV & HDHomeRun), and only one of them (AirTV) working with my Roku Express 4K+, I completely gave up on Roku.
Bought a Google TV streaming device, and it works just fine with AirTV and Tablo, but not HDHomeRun. Shipping the latter back later this week for a full refund (<30 days).
Roku as a brand is completely dead to me. My next TV will definitely NOT be a Roku brand. In fact, I'll never buy anything having a Roku label on it. EVER. And I'll make sure all my social media contacts know it.
OS 14 was installed without my knowledge or consent, and it turned my Tablo 4th Gen Quad into a paperweight, that is, until Google TV came to my rescue.
