Can't set hdmi to deep color with Express 4K+ on LG OLED C3 TV
Today I found I have a similar issue. On my LG OLED C21 I had this option turned on. No problems until today, when I tried to watch an NBA game on Max. For some reason their games come in Dolby Vision, even I have their basic plan, which supports only HD. Anyway, today I didn't get picture, but only sound. My TV was saying the picture was DV but it was showing a black screen. Not even the cursor for advancing or going back in time. Similar issue encountered on Apple TV+, which has all their original content în DV, but not as consistent as Max. Disney+ didn't seem to have any issues. Same Prime, but that's not DV, just HDR. So, what's going on? It seems to me this maybe just a miscomunication between Roku and my TV. Same game was just fine playing off a Fire TV stick. The Roku firmware is 14.5 on my Roku stick 4k. The TV firmware is 03.51.16 (early March this year).409Views0likes5CommentsStream bar sound problem while watching YouTube
I have a Roku stream bar and have had problems pretty much every day with it starting out with no sound on youtube videos. It is not muted. I have tried toggling the mute function, but the sound still does not come up. I need to exit youtube and then reload it. After that, the sound works. I have not noticed this problem in any other place, but I do spend probably 80 pct of my time in youtube. This happens once or twice a day.Solved2.1KViews0likes5CommentsXfinity Audio Getting Garbled or Lost (A continuation of the Xfinity Audio Out-of-Sync issue)
Hello all, This issue was reported (and closed) as fixed for many but not for all: Xfinity Audio Out of Sync Unfortunately I am still having similar audio issues. So, after updating my 3 Roku Streaming Stick + units (and the Xfinity app itself) the volume still becomes degraded and garbled after varying intervals of operation. Next, I tried changing the audio options to "stereo" and now the audio disappears completely (instead of getting degraded and garbled). FYI, I did not touch the volume mode (set to off). For reference, here is the information for one of my 3 Roku Streaming Stick + units: Model 3810x, Software 12.5.5 Build 4174-50, Device ID C138D1864074 Also, here is the Xfinity Stream app version: 6.14, Build 0 Just for the record, Roku reported my connectivity as excellent. So, my final test was to go out and buy one of your competitors 4k Max sticks and that completely solved all the Roku-related audio issues. Moreover, my download speed was bench-marked (by the new 4k Max) at 372 Mbps. In summary, I think Roku needs to re-address this issue because the problem is clearly still present for some of us, and, the fact that installing a competitors 4k Max stick actually fixes the issues, clearly points to the root cause being either the hardware or software of the affected Roku units.Solved1KViews0likes1CommentRoku Express 4K+ Model 3941X no longer has any hdmi signal out after not using.
My roku used to work. I unplugged to keep as a backup for some months after testing it and even using it for a little while. I took it out to verify wifi trouble on a different Roku Express 4K+ Model 3941X and found that it no longer has any HDMI signal out. I tried plugging it into two different TV's with two different cables and two different power supplies(and cables) in three different hdmi slots. It has no video, it has no sound, it has no signal at all that any tv can detect. The power LED is on, but nothing else appears to be doing anything. Can anybody think of any solutions? I tried blowing on the hdmi slot in case there was dust on the contacts, still no luck. I tried all those solutions listed in the troubleshooting, too.1.8KViews0likes3Comments
