New Roku remote won’t control Polk Audio

I had my old Roku Streaming Stick remote control paired to my polk audio sound bar, but a replacement remote wouldn't do so. I was able to pair the new remote with the Samsung TV and afterwards I was actually able to pair it with the soundbar. I'm assuming the signal now mimicked a TV remote, which the soundbar could learn. It was interesting that I had to switch the TV to the TV speakers to program the remote to the TV. I then switched it back to the optical audio output for the soundbar.

    Can’t connect to older Hisense

I have an older Hisense that will not connect with the tv to control the volume or turn off and on. It works for everything else but I lost the remote and NEED to be able to control the volume. I have done the remote setup several times and looked on Roku community forum but idk what else to try. It is NOT a Roku or a smart tv. It’s just a LED LCD tv. Model 32H3B1

Streambar SE failure due to loose optical cable

My Roku 4 device stopped supporting Hulu and eventually the new version of Sling. I could no longer stream these services on my main living room TV although still could with my older Roku devices on my other TVs. After unsuccessfully trouble shooting with Roku and Sling I finally figured Roku wants me to purchase a new player and purchased the Streambar SE. This was successfully installed (needed to use the optical cable as my TV does not have HDMI arc). At this time the Optical Cable has pulled out of the Streambar - it does not click in to the StreamBar fully. No amount of troubleshooting fixes this problem and now I am out and in worse shape than ever (no sound can't stream anything). And now I can't for the life of me find a live agent to discuss. Thoughts? Buy a new cable from a 3rd party? Switch to a different brand streaming device? IDK it shouldn't be this hard to "save money" by streaming.

Enhanced Remote will not operate Panasonic TV

I recently purchased a Roku Streaming Stick with enhanced remote. I set it up per the instructions. The problem I’m having is that I’m unable to get a remote code to be recognized by the TV/remote. I’ve gone through all 45 codes and the music doesn’t turn off. So my Roku remote doesn’t turn on/off the TV or control the back button. My sound goes to a sound bar so I’m not worried about the sound controls. The pause and play controls seem to work too. Any ideas/tips/tricks on how I can get the remote to work with my Panasonic TV? Thanks!

Onn Roku TV froze and keeps resetting itself

My Onn Roku TV froze and factory reset itself last night. The remote, which is a replacement remote, will only power the tv on and off. All other functions are unavailable. The button below the television will also only power the television on or off. It will not toggle the setup screen so I can finish the factory reset.

Voice button not working on remote

Hello, there seems to be an issue with my roku remote. The device is brand new and i set it up today. It's the roky 4k streaming stick + remote. It came with the voice remote. My issue is with the voice option on the voice remote. When i press on the voice button, the screen exits and goes to the "Streaming Channels" option in the home page. Nothing else happens after that. I contacted support but they kept repeating the same useless info for 2 hours. The remotd is working fine with all the other buttons. It's only the voice command button that is not working. A single press or a long press result in the same thing : whatever app i'm on closes and i' taken to the "Streaming channels" option. Help.

Roku streaming stick 4K remote issues

Just got the Streaming Stick 4K, which while it feels really nice and snappy (also with some features my Roku TV doesn’t have), it is kinda a waste of money for me. I’ll be returning it tomorrow morning. What wouldn’t be a waste of money is a new remote, I love the remote that came with it. Feels more premium, the soft buttons make it quiet, and voice control is huge for me (my TV literally prompts me to use voice command even though it didn’t come with a voice remote). With that being said, I’d like to know if I can throw away this old remote when I order the new one? It would be really annoying having to keep it around just to turn the TV on and off, which I doubt is the case, but I’m not sure.

Roku TV can’t connect Bluetooth headphones to Roku app on HDMI outputs - is there a way around this?

I bought the 40" Class Select Series Full HD Smart RokuTV to replace my dead 43", however there is no headphone jack on this model. Also the Bluetooth headphone function on the app only works for home screen apps and the antenna but will automatically disable itself whenever I go to an HDMI output and use my PlayStation or laptop, which are the only two things I use the tv for. (There is also no headphone jack in the remote.) Does anyone know a good way around this? Or can recommend a non-expensive soundbar that plays nice with roku that has a headphone jack in it? This is a huge bummer as my neighbors cannot handle my tv speakers at all hours, and I'm disabled and hard of hearing and around the apt a lot so I spend a lot of time on my PlayStation and laptop. (A compatible third party soundbar with jack recommendation is preferred to a roku one, as they have made a tv that does less than previous generations and they already get to harvest all my data while they file patents to project ads through the hdmi outputs.)
