    Roku device audio sync issues

I have multiple Roku device; TVs, "Ultimate" STB streamers, sticks - you name it; going back to composite A/V output. I now have and use ONLY High Def / 4K devices and TVs from Roku now. Originally, I had "purple screen - HDCP erros" between the Roku Ultra and an expensive LG OLED TV that required disconnecting HDMI cables, swapping them, the ports I used, and powering off equipment - until I gave up and called for a replacement "Ultra" STB. Roku relectantly replaced it - only to have the same problems (which I suspect they know about). I eventualy gave up on the Ultra insisting that I get my exercise every night doing this nonsense and decided that a 4K Streaming Stick would eliminate the need for multiple HDMI cables that Roku Support suggested I change out. The stick solved the HDCP issues; however the Audio Sync issues became the concern - and has been / still is present on EACH and EVERY Roku streamer / device / TV. Roku Support plays the same response to everyone: "What is the model, serial number, blah, blah, blah.." I haven't seen anyone say their problem has been fixed - instead, they just stop posting and complaining because they've come to realize that Roku doesnt have a permanent, workable fix! News flash - these same problems exist for Chromcast and Fire TV too. The "button push combination" on the remote is the best you can hope for as far as a fix is concerned; just be prepared to do it every night at least once every night. The procedure is below: Press the Home button on your Roku remote. Wait a few seconds, then press the following buttons in the exact order shown below, without pausing between buttons. 1 Press the Home button 5 times 2 Press the Up button 1 time 3 Press the Rewind button 2 times 4 Press the Fast Forward button 2 times Your Roku will be unresponsive and reboot. Audio sync should be better / fixed. Roku Support strings evetyone along by suggesting there is a fix - but they need 'more information" (a.k.a. time) to have their engineers look at YOUR problem (it is unique - no one else is having your problem!). They do this until the warranty return window for the streamer / device / TV has closed. Roku has been doing this for YEARS and it has likely become part of its mission statement. Its frustrating but it is what it is.

Roku Streambar sound cutting out while using HDMI

Hello, I, like many others here, am incredibly frustrated with the constant audio cutouts (randomly, at least 2-3 times per hour, sometimes 2-3 times every 5 min) while using HDMI sources connected to the TV. This issue is beyond annoying — it's a total "show stopper". (no audio cutout observed when using roku OS, although not using it a lot). I've gone through all the usual "troubleshooting" steps: swapping HDMI cables, power cycling the Streambar, etc., yet the problem still persists. When I use another soundbar from a different brand with the same TV and cables, it works perfectly — no issues, for years. What is even more frustrating is reading this issue has been ongoing for years with no real solution. Roku’s typical response of "we will contact you separately" is just lip service — it does little for the community at large, the expected purpose of this site. If this doesn’t get fixed very soon, I’ll be returning this product while I’m still within the return window. It's a shame because when it does work, the bar offers great value, but this constant audio dropout is unacceptable. My model 9102EU | SW 13.1.4.1515 | device ID 2E1288XXXXXX

This is a Roku bug. It happens to all of them and fixes they recommend do not help.

Help Roku Ultra 2024 Dolby Atmos

Currently bought new #2024RokuUltra and having issues with Roku identifying any type of Dolby Atmos, Dolby vision, HDR content. I have LG 65CX TV playing Roku through back of TV 4K 120 Hz port and my LG SN9YG soundbar plugged into earc port with HDMI cable. Prior to upgrading, I had the 2022 Roku Ultra and had no issues, the Roku player identified all HDR formats, Dolby vision formats, and Dolby Atmos content. Roku support keeps blaming apps but I bypassed the Roku to play LG TV only through those same apps and content works just fine. I have tried factory reset, changed HDMI cables, enabled deep color format, even turned off volume level. Still nothing. Back to force always on double vision or HDR but can never get Dolby Atmos no matter what settings I try. I've tried these on two different 2024 Roku Ultra models. Roku support also said they would follow up but never did.

Hello, Experiencing a similar issue. Successfully watched via Roku streaming device this evening, an hour later, we can hear but not see video on ALL channels. We can see graphics, including Ad timers, etc, in screen corners. I’ve unplugged the Roku, plugged back in. the internet connection is good. I’ve turned off and on again the projector. What could be the cause? Thank you

I have the roku wireless soundbar and this morning the audio was crackling. It made the sound blown out and crackling. This is the second time that this has happen and it starts happening a few months later. The only temporary fix that I have for it is a system restart.

Audio was great. Now it's too quiet with no Expanded Audio

I am experiencing a problem recently with the audio from my Roku Streambar Pro and two Roku TV Wireless Speakers I have had the Roku Streambar Pro for some time and added the two back speakers in May. I connected the Roku Streambar Pro using ARC and the sound was great. While moving some furniture, I unplugged the rear speakers. After plugging them back in, the sound isn’t so hot. Now, I must turn the TV volume up twice as loud to hear anything well and it's the only chance of hearing the dialogue. And the Expanded Audio setting is grayed out on every streaming app apart from Amazon Music. That music app is the only one that sounds amazing with audio that fills the room. I tried pairing the speakers again, but that hasn’t helped. I’ve also tried every audio setting, but no dice. Boosting the dialogue obviously makes voices louder, but the quality of the sound is lousy with that setting. Can you please tell me how to get things back to what they once were and also offer suggestions for getting Expanded Audio to activate on other apps?

[Smart Soundbar] Warbly sound when playing stereo music over Bluetooth

Ever since I got this soundbar, whenever I play stereo music through Bluetooth, it has weird phasing issues that make the track sound warbly. I haven't been able to figure out exactly how the sound is getting altered. When I mix the audio to mono through the accessibility settings on my phone, it works just fine, but I'd like to have stereo audio. I have found when I switch the Bluetooth codec from AAC to SBC (developer settings on Android), it can stream Bluetooth audio just fine. However, I have to do this every time I connect my phone, and it seems odd that the smart soundbar doesn't support the higher quality codec properly.
