Your ISP (Internet service provider) may have made a change to your router's configuration, although I'm not sure why a hotspot wouldn't work. Assuming you're trying to connect to a 2.4GHz channel (1 to 11), make sure your router's wireless mode is set to b/g/n and not g/n.
If you need help, post the name of your ISP and the model name and number written on your router.
