Hi sorry to come into an already "chat" but I'm having a similar problem, I will be watching a film or TV program and suddenly it disconnects this is happening after months of trouble-free usage I've done everything that you advocate but it continues I have full fibre150 which I have monitored whilst trying to solve the issue my "unit" is in the same room as "router" and is less than 3 metres away, and nothing has changed since first set-up, any ideas will be gratefully received. I would like to thank you for your quick reply, but the problem seems to have resolved itself, I used it to catch up last night and it was faultless, like it had been from the start! I have know idea why it should have played up for three days running and was unusable.
Again thanks for the response

Sadly the problem is back and worse, after a difficult start, it runs well for about 20 min then disconnects from the internet and now will not reconnect until switched of for some hours. I have done all the resetting etc I also ran a tablet along side tuned into the same online program and the tablet was fine no drop-outs, I would like to point out I have full fibre and it was trouble free until recently.
@alanjc37 You might be getting interference from a crowded network frequency, get a wi-fi analyzer for your phone or see if your router has one and check to see how crowded the channel your router is using. You might need to change the router channel if that is the case. Also, how old is your router, check for a firmware update for the router, and how many devices do you have connected to the router, approximately?
Less than six months main router is within three metres and and second one is downstairs both giving at least 142 Mbps download speed had no trouble with it until about a week ago when it started to play up, I borrowed another Roku today and it's 100% faster connecting and stays connected. There is definitely a problem with the unit it is so very difficult to switch it on have to keep pressing the remote till the light stays on then takes ages to connect with the web the borrowed one connects straight away it is switched on. Never had trouble with an Amazon stick, it's sad as I like the way it works when working properly. Again thanks for your patience in trying to help.
I am having the same problem. My Roku devices (3) won't stay connected to the internet. Everything else using my wireless connection works just fine: Amazon Fire Sticks (3), Smart Tv's, computers, blu-ray players... It's only the Roku's that have the problem.
Based on the questions you asked @Riahc97
I bought Rokus for my dad and son for Christmas 2023, and for rental rooms and they haven't even been able to use them. They don't have mobile hot spots.
What is the solution to this?
