Wi fi keeps dropping on my Sharp Roku tv

My Sharp Roku TV drops the wifi connection. At the same time, however, the tv Settings shows the wifi connection is “excellent”, and my devices have wifi connectivity. Any idea why this is happening?

Re: Wi fi keeps dropping on my Sharp Roku tv

Some devices, especially older devices, don't like some of the wireless protocols used on newer routers or your wireless channels may be crowded and/or there may be too many devices on the network.  If your router has the ability, try setting up a guest network with 2.4 ghz and WPA2 and connect the TV to that and see if that helps.  Or you could try hardwiring a network cable directly to the router and see if that corrects the issue.  Some TVs have lousy wireless capabilities, especially older ones and/or budget level TVs.
