Roku Premiere 3920 Hotel and Dorm Connect

Can anyone confirm if my device supports the Hotel and Dorm Connect feature?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWyEH3y55rY says it does and I saw some posts here about using the feature.

I have completed the activation with Roku OS 9.4.0, still no prompt when I select the hotel wifi network.

Thanks!

I too have a 3920x that I tried connecting to a hotel but the option to use Hotel/Dorm Connect was not offered.  The referenced article assumes that all you have to do is choose this option.  I software version 10.0.0.  Any help?

Re: Roku Premiere 3920 Hotel and Dorm Connect

The problem is their software doesn’t detect that 100% of the time and sometimes even if you got the prompt, it will drop out in a few seconds, there’s no way you can make it work.

my solution is to use another device and spoof the MAC address of that device to the MAC address of your TV stick. the idea is to login the wifi network with another device with the MAC address of your tv stick, so that the server will have your TV stick identified and logged in.

steps:

1. go to settings page of your TV stick and find the MAC address of your TV stick.
2. Use any device and change that device’s original MAC address to the TV stick’s MAC address (spoofing), rmb to write down the original MAC address of that device as you will need to restore it.
3. Connect your device to the Hotel WIFI network and login normally

4. connect the TV stick to the Hotel wifi and restore the MAC address on your other device.
5. Done!

Really hope this helps. I suffered a lot trying to login to the stupid wifi too. or simply get a new one. Cheers

Thanks for the help!  What kind of device allows you to edit its MAC, I.e. what do you use?
