Please note that this will result in a complete system reset of your device. Hold the reset button on your Roku until the device turns off and reboots. At this point you will be able to setup the device as if it were new. Also at that point you are able to sign in from a hotel or dorm room. Once you are prompted and log into your Roku account the device will reload all your apps.

Hello! @Chayton,
We're thrilled to have you join us here in the Roku Community!
Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue you are experiencing while updating your Roku device. We are glad to help you with this problem.
If your Roku streaming device is stuck on a software update, it is possible that the Roku service may be temporarily unresponsive. If an error code is encountered during an attempt to update the software, wait a few minutes and try again. If Roku is aware of an extended outage, an alert will be displayed near the top of the Roku support site.
If there is no alert and you continue to see the error message after multiple attempts, the update failure is likely the result of a network connectivity issue
Try the steps below to help resolve the problem.

I have tried to get my Roku working, since the eclipse on April 8th,2024 I haven’t been able to connect, could the earthquake or power outages have caused this issue? Please help?
Welcome, and thank you for posting here in the Roku Community, @Mthurston484!
We apologize for the inconvenience that it caused you. We're committed to providing you with the best possible resolution.
Error 003 means you have an unstable network connection, usually caused by fluctuations in speed or signal strength. It is also important to consider the number of devices that are connected to your network.
These are the options that you can try.

So I've tried everything. My TCL Roku TV refuses to update. It was working perfectly fine yesterday. I've looked it up to see what the issue was. I've done everything that was stated to do. Rested my TV, restarted both my modem and router multiple times, "though my rougher and modem are completely fine even for my other Roku TV's" I've even moved the TV and set it next to my rougher for the MAXIMUM wifi connection. Nothing. Constantly getting that same error 003. At this point I truly believe I have to replace it. I'm making this post in the hopes there's something else I can do before I just chunk this TV in the trash
