My Roku seems to freeze then reset during initial setup.

I just got Roku and am trying to set it up. I select English then I found my wifi address and input my password then click connect and I get a screen thats asks if I am home or at a dorm room. I click home then get screen with 2 green check marks for wireless connection and internet connection and it says checking at the top but it freezes after that and then resets after about 2 minutes of the "frozen checking connection screen."

The first question that has to be asked is are you using the supplied power adapter and not your TV's USB port?
