When connecting my Roku device I go through the Hotel/Dorm connection And usually I can connect to the Roku Wi-Fi and it will immediately go back to the Wi-Fi that I was using in the hotel and connect to the same one on Roku and run smooth but lately it's been telling me that the connection is refused on my phone browser after entering the password for connecting the Roku how do I get past this and get it to connect smoothly like it used to?

my phone keeps saying hotspot can’t connect to server and i don’t use my hotspot to connect
I reset my Roku it asks me to select the language then it connects to the Wi-Fi but then my phone says hotspot can’t connect to server
@AWolff73, are you connecting the Roku device to your phone's hotspot or to the hotel/dorm's W-Fi? It's not clear. Once you factory reset it you have to set it up using something other than a hotel/dorm's Wi-Fi before you can use hotel/dorm connect.
The last several times I have been having the same issue. It's after connecting to the Roku on our devices and it says you need to login. Normally it takes me to the hotel login page/captivate portal, but instead of the captivate portal pulling up to login to the hotels site it gives an error message saying connection refused. It won't let me get to the hotels login page. I've e used different devices and been at different hotels. The iPhone won't even take me to the connection page at all, only android.

I appreciate you sharing this connection issue. It appears that the Roku device connects successfully on an Android, but it has trouble connecting when using just an iPhone. A settings issue may prevent Roku from connecting to your hotel or dorm internet. For further assistance with this problem, I highly recommend contacting your internet provider.
