It sounds like you are having trouble connecting your Roku TV to the Hotel or college dorm public network. Try restarting your Roku TV and your phone to see if this resolves the issue. Often, a simple restart can help to clear up any connectivity issues.
You will need to activate your device or manually check for a software update before using it in hotel and dorm mode. If needed, you can try activating or updating your device with an alternate network, such as a mobile hotspot.
