Solving playback issues

For the last two weeks I've been unable to open YouTube.  When I select it, it won't open and goes back to the app on my homepage. I deleted n reinstalled with no change... What's there problem?

@Kelvin20  Roku is not the developer of the YouTube channel. Google is. Please follow these steps:

Remove the YouTube channel 

Restart your Roku

Re add the YouTube channel 

Also which Roku model do you own?

Make sure you RESTART your Roku before reinstalling an app:

1) Remove YT

2) RESTART Roku (Settings/System/System restart/Restart or Settings/System/Power/System restart/Restart

3) Re-install YT

Otherwise, try changing your theme to default:  Settings/Theme/Restore default theme/Restore

...and your screensaver to a simple one:  Settings/Theme/Screensavers/Logo rain/Set as screensaver

....and see if that allows YT to open.
