Just grabbed a new Roku Ultra 2024 edition. The volume is terrible. On my ISP’s tv box, I usually set my tv’s volume level to 12 (15 at most). With this Roku box, I need to crank it up to 60 to achieve the same volume level!!!! After reading this thread and seeing that it was reported over 9 months ago with still no fix, I think I’m going to return this thing and grab an Apple TV 4K box instead.

I have the same issue. ALL channels. There is practically zero control over the audio settings in the menus. This did NOT happen with my old Roku (from around 2020 or so). Where my volume was 20 on my TV I need now to be around 85 to be equivalent.

I just received the Ultra yesterday and noticed the Volume issue Immediately - the tv has to be turned up twice as high as my Ultra Lite to be able to hear well.... (I've read others having same issue with this device)
It updated as soon as I activated the device yesterday.
The volume issue is on All apps.
And I'm not sure what other 'troubleshooting' to try??? I've tried Updated, Restarting the Roku...
Will say I'm very disappointed, I also notice that when I'm on the YoutubeTV App watching something and I hit the Home button to 'stop streaming', when I open the YoutubeTV app again - it starts where I left off, ie watching a show I recorded.... my other Roku's do Not do this - when they start up it comes to the YouTubeTV 'home page' with options for Library, Home or Live ....and earlier today when we tried to open YouTubeTV App - it was just a BLACK Screen...

Have you also tried it on a different TV to see if you encounter the same behavior? Also, changing to a high-speed HDMI cable would help.

I did try a high speed HDMI cable - NO DIFFERENCE with volume..
I do not feel I should have to check it on another TV - it's hooked up to the TV I need it for....
I'm guessing with so many people having the issue, it's still not 'being fixed'??? Assuming the 'amplifier' in this model is inferior to the older Ultra's... 😞

Can you let us know if the Roku Ultra is plugged directly into the TV or if it’s going through the receiver? If it’s going through the receiver, have you tried hooking it up directly to the TV to see if that makes a difference?
