Slowing the video playback down

We recently subscribed to HULU. When we watch our programs of interest on Hulu we have been noticing that a lot them are hard to understand. It appears that the playback speed is increased. For example Castle Season 1 Episode 1. Even the closed caption is often to fast to read. When we watch the same program on Amazon Prime we are able to understand the audio without any problem. We are using the Roku Ultra as our streaming device.

If I stream the Castle episode through my computer or through the Comcast xFinity set-top-box the audio is fine. I prefer to use the Roku as it is more reliable than the xFinity player.

So the big question is, is there away to slow the playback down on the Roku player?

Thanks

Re: Slowing the video playback down

@jacky1mcc-

The Hulu app on my several different Rokus has no provisions that I can find for altering the playback speed.

This really would be a question for Hulu, as they provide and maintain the Roku-compatible version of their channel app to Roku.  Roku only provides the platform on which it is being run.
