We have a Pro Cinema 4050 projector connected to Roku Ultra via Denon AVR. Often, our movies will suffer a black or flickering screen while streaming, especially if there's an action scene or fast moving type of visual.
To ensure that our AVR and Epson Projector were not the problem, we disconnected from Roku and connected to our laptop via HDMI. Everything worked fine regarding visuals and audio when using the laptop.
We are now assuming that our issue is isolated to Roku and our HDMI cable. When reading through Roku Support, it seems that you need an HDMI cable 2.0 to stream 4k. Our devices all support 4k (Roku Ultra, 4k projector, 4k AVR). Has anyone else had this issue? Will changing our HDMI cables to 2.0 resolve this issue?
