Roku audio keeps cutting in and out

On my regular Roku that plugs into a tv. Whenever there is anything overlaying the video the audio cuts in and out strangely. By that I mean like the play and pause icon on YouTube and the minute counter.  If that’s showing it cuts in and out.  Or if the skip button is showing it’ll cut out then too. Same on netlix. Whenever the skip recap button is up it cuts in and out. I have no clue what to do and probably just gonna buy a chromecast.
