Roku Express 4K+ 2021 model 3941R needs boot up every time

My Roku Express 4K+ 2021 model 3941R needs to be rebooted every time I want to use it. Its plugged into the wall using Roku's power cube.

It does not need to be rebooted. Your Roku is most likely asleep. If you press the Home button on your remote it will wake up. You can prevent this by going into the network settings and disabling the bandwidth saver function. Also be sure to disable any power saving features on your TV. My Roku stick does the exact same thing. I turn the TV on and it says no input. So I press the Home button on my Roku remote and about 5 seconds later the Roku wakes up

Re: Roku Express 4K+ 2021 model 3941R needs boot up every time

@Michael4489-

Newer Roku models like your Express 4K+ have a new "Power" item in the "Settings > System" menu.  An  "Auto power savings" item there will put your Roku device into a low power standby condition after a period of inactivity, such as when your TV has been turned off for a while.

Pressing a Roku control key (like HOME) on your Roku remote (not Power, Volume, or Mute which act on the TV, not the Roku) should bring the Roku out of standby and back to full operation. Pulling the power for a few seconds to restart the Roku will restore full operation as well.

The power savings are very small and for the hassle it causes, I don't think it's worth having this feature activated. If you disable "Settings > System > Power > Auto power savings" it should prevent your Roku from going into standby in the first place.
