Solving playback issues

It doesn't matter what app I'm watching my Roku stick will close the video, go to the home screen for 2 seconds and then go to the device pairing screen.  I have tried to re-pair my remote, restart my Roku and tried to allow the pairing screen to search for devices and none of these solutions have worked.  

It's not after a certain amount of time streaming, not with a specific app (happened with Hulu, Netflix, HBO Max and YouTube).

I also pulled the batteries out of my remote and the issue persisted.

How are you powering the device? Is it plugged into the TV USB port, or is it plugged into the wall outlet with the provided cables? In addition, have you tried using another HDMI port on your TV as well as trying your device on another TV to see if you are seeing the same issue?

I am powering the device with the provided cables into an outlet.  I haven't tried it in another outlet or TV, but I swapped my Roku stick from another TV into the HDMI port and the issue did not persist with another sick in the port.
