Roku 2 No picture - HDCP Error detected

HDCP Error detected. I have a Roku 2 box and am not picture but have sound. I have gone through all the steps to disconnect and reconnect my cables and power and have switched cords a well a the output/input on my TV and I still am not getting a picture. When this occurred in the past, these steps have worked, so I’m not sure why suddenly I’m not getting a picture. Thoughts?

  • Try plugging it into a different port, trying a spare cable, unplugging and replugging everything, rebooting your Roku, or if you have the HDMI cable going through something else connected to your tv, try connecting it directly to the TV.

      HeyMinecraftplayer,

Just a heads up, the Roku 3 is considered a legacy device, which means it no longer receives updates to the latest software. This could explain some of the issues you're dealing with.

If you haven't upgraded yet, you might have received an email with some cool deals to grab a new player at a better price. You can also check out the offers by logging into your Roku account and visiting this website https://my.roku.com/offers.

      Happy streaming!
