I have encountered this same issue. Is there a way to keep the roku paused on something in a particular app without it going to sleep and returning to the home screen?
Thanks for the post.
Can you please clarify the issue you are experiencing? What specific Roku model device are you using? Does this issue happen on a specific channel? What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny
When we pause the roku on a specific show and it goes idle after a certain amount of time it exits the app and the show that is paused on. It goes back to the home screen. Is there a way to prevent this? This has happened in more than one of the apps including YouTube TV hulu and peacock.
Try disabling the Auto Power Savings feature if available on your device.
Settings/System/Power/Auto Power Savings/20min [Disable]

The screensaver will likely still kick in depending on how long you leave it paused. As such, you may have to press either the Play button, or the OK button to exit screensaver which should bring you back to your Paused content.
If need be, you can either adjust the time of your screensaver or disable completely.
